Ms. Véronique Bérubé is Manager, Arctic & Large Vessels, Design & Equipment Standards at Transport Canada Marine Safety and Security (TCMSS). Ms. Bérubé is responsible for the development and implementation of marine safety legislation, regulations, standards and amendments in the field of ship vessel construction, ship machinery, systems and equipment, ship electrical systems, load lines, stability and subdivision and other technical areas, both at the national level and the international level, for vessels above 24 meters.
She is the Head of the Canadian Delegation at the International Maritime Organization’s Sub-Committee on Ship Systems and Equipment and Sub-Committee on Ship Design and Construction, reporting to the Maritime Safety Committee. She is also leading the coordination of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships for TCMSS.
